With us you are able to dive up to four times a day. However the lodge is very well suited for non-divers or having a day off from diving, thanks to its spacious design and eye on details you expect from a nice boutique hotel!

We opened Afro Divers in 2020, and following the success and enthusiasm of our divers, opening our own accommodation was the logical next step Afro Divers Lodge is under construction, and we plan to open for the new season, starting June 2025.
Afro Divers Lodge will be the “divers paradise in Tanzania”,
the combination of a warm hotel with its diving center (the highest rated in the region!) will be the ultimate experience. We are located in the middle of the baobabs, surrounded by an untouched and lush nature. This green energy generates a unique, soft and soothing atmosphere.

Afro Lodge will have 10 comfortable and spacious rooms. The swimming pool, beautiful and large, will allow you to relax after your morning of diving With your feet in the sand, you will treat yourself to moments of total relaxation and idleness lulled by the sounds of the waves The beach bar is an ideal place for friendly moments, while enjoying the sunset. The restaurant will offer you varied, rich and refined food, enhanced by our Swahili chefs.
Book for 2025 and benefit from 15% discount on all accommodation rates (half board included).
Book for 2026 and receive 25% off all accommodation rates (half board included).
Standard 10% discount for returning divers and/or tz residents on all dive rates.
If you are interested, we can take care of your accommodation, your transport, your dives, and add a safari on the continent if you wish.
About the Rooms

10 rooms: 5 ground rooms and 5 first floor rooms

We building two Superior Rooms of 40 meters square each, able to host a family (or friends) of 4 persons.

8 Standard Rooms are 30 meters square.

All rooms have 10 meters square terrace and 10 meters square bathrooms.

All rooms will consists of AC and very good air ventilation.

All rooms will have view on the ocean as well as our two gigantic baobab trees! A very unique view!

All buildings are build with the best materials, ensuring for a good sound insulation to enjoy your privacy.
Kitchen and Restaurant
For its 10 rooms and divers Afro Divers Lodge offers full restaurant service. Booking with us usually goes with half boards, meaning breakfast and three course dinner are included in the rates.
Walk-in guests are always welcome!
Our dishes are changing everyday, varying from fish dishes, to chicken, beef and vegetarian. Our local chefs can cook endlessly and through experience often blending in western styles with their work.
Enjoy every moment of your time from our palm-roof restaurant overlooking the Indian Ocean.
Debrief during happy hour your diving day with your buddies or loved ones, watching the Pemba sunset.
'Afro Divers Style'
Since we are operating Afro Divers (from 2020) we always have been emphasizing on natural and authentic look. We are building and decorating with the items we find around us in Pemba.
Our Afro Divers Lodge is affordable for mid range, comparable with other three star lodges in the Zanzibar Archipelago. Nonetheless, with the combination of our colorful style, two massive baobab trees in the middle of the property and our boutique dive center we want to stand out from the others.
